The development of USAEnergy.org was made possible through grants from the United States Department of Energy, The United States Environmental Protection Agency's State and Local Climate Change Program, and the EnergyStar Program. USAEnergy.org is maintained by the climate change and energy program staff at ICMA. Information on the U.S. EPA's ten regions, as well as contact information on related energy and climate programs, is provided below.                                                                          The mission of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is to enhance the quality of local government through professional management and to support and assist professional local government administrators internationally. The association provides technical assistance, technology and resources transfer, training, management assistance, and publications for local officials and communities. ICMA also builds partnerships among concerned stakeholders and serves as a clearinghouse for the collection and dissemination of information and data about local government.                                                                                                                            The priorities of the U.S. Department of Energy are to increase domestic energy production; revolutionize energy conservation and efficiency practices; and, to promote the development of renewable and alternative energy sources.                                                                                                                             ENERGY STAR offers businesses and consumers energy efficient solutions -- helping to save money while protecting the environment for future generations.                                                                                                                        For more than 10 years, the State and Local Climate Change Program has provided technical and financial assistance to states and localities for their efforts to address global warming. The program focuses on capacity building, providing states and local communities with the tools to implement voluntary measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on their own.
